Puran Qila means “Old Fort” and has several buildings inside its walls, such as Qila-i-Kuhna Mosque, built by Sher Shah Suri in 1541.

This metro station is also close to other tourist and temples like Akshardham Temple, Millennium Park, and the Supreme Court of India.

Pragati Maidan Metro Station

Pragati Maidan metro station is also the nearest metro station to Purana Qila. It is about 1km from Purana Qila and is on the blue line of the Delhi Metro. You can also take an auto or cab from there to reach your destination within 10 minutes. The nearest tourist places that comes under this metro station are India Gate, National Museum, and National Zoological Park.

This station is also Purana Qila’s nearest metro station located on the blue line of the Delhi Metro. It is about 2.1 km away from Purana Qila. You can reach by taking an auto or cab from the metro station or could go by foot and go within 10-15 minutes. The first metro from the Supreme Court metro station starts at 5:40 AM and ends at 11:25 PM.

Khan Market Metro Station

Khan Metro station is also the busiest and Purana Qil’s nearest metro station and it’s on the violet line of the Delhi Metro. It is about 2km away from Purana Qila. You can book a cab or take an auto from this metro station to reach the fort. Khan Market metro station is also close to other tourist places like Humayun’s Tomb and Lodhi’s Garden.
