MBBS Course Eligibility Criteria
There are several eligibility criteria, which are set by the National Medical Commission (NMC), which one must have to fulfil to get admission for the MBBS course in India. Here are the eligibility criteria for the MBBS course.
- To get admission in the MBBS course, a student must be the 12th pass from a recognized board along with that studying subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English in their 11th and 12th class.
- The minimum age requirement for the MBBS course is 17 years, and there is no upper age limit.
- To get admission to the MBBS course, a student must score 50% in the qualifying exam. However, for the ST, SC, and OBC categories, the student only has to score 40% in the qualifying exam.
MBBS Entrance Exam For Admission
There is one and only entrance exam for getting admission to the MBBS course, which is NEET. The NEET entrance exam is a very tough exam, and only those students can get admission in the MBBS course, which have qualified for the NEET exam or have gotten merit in the NEET exam.
